prayer needed

Student starts church:
One of our students, Pedro from Ajmachel, lives in a village where there are no Christians but his family. The village is made up of former Guerillas and is opposed to the gospel. He wants to start a church there. The village has falsely accused him of stealing. They took the whole family in the dark, bare foot, to face trial. They were found not guilty. Please pray for them as they face very tense times as the village tries to do everything possible to quiet them.

Student's life threatened:
One of our graduates, Rodimiro from SanAndres, has been establishing a relationship with the mayor and visiting him regularly for prayer. The mayor has been ousted for embezelling a lot of money. The village is furious and decided Rodimiro is taking some of the money and that is why he is always in his office. If he leaves his home, the have threatened to kill him. He is hold up. Pray for him and his family as this has been boiling for over six weeks now and will not go away.

Our employees and their children will be coming for a Christmas party tomorrow. I (John) will be in charge of the corny games as always. We have over 60 coming. What a joy it is to have such a great team working together with one goal in mind - lift up the name of Jesus in Chichicastenango.
